Um Rachel, let’s get this straight… it was a commute World Record. (I might be the only one who has ever taken this route but the WR stands nonetheless).
Cold… Yes. Biking conditions were slightly above zero on the day.
That’s actually one thing that I learned this past weekend… when it’s really cold outside, staying in the aero position is much, much warmer than going on the cow-horns. I guess in a sense you are mimicking the fetal position.
