Probably my best performance this year happened August 28th. First overall at Irongirl in Boulder.

Irongirl was my first all women’s race that I competed in. Being the first Irongirl in Boulder, participation was low. I bet there were not more then 4-500 women racing. 

The course was the same as 5430  Boulder Sprint except for 4oo meter swim instead of a 750 meter swim.  The perimeter of the swim was not much larger then the swim beach area in BoulderRez .

I totally raced under the radar and finished with the same  splits as I did back in June yet my effort was  easier. It was nice cruising along on my Orbea Ordu and not worrying about a pack of men passing me.

August 28th was the last weekend that speed suits were legal and I wore my Aquasphere speed suit (I have a cute picture cant upload yet) that I rented at the Fort Collins Runners Roost.   I absolutely LOVE riding my Ordu and feel like I am wearing slippers in my Newtons .
