A FB post letting runners know Timex is coming!

Yesterday Timex had another quality clinic at a local running store here inColorado.  This time it was up inWestminsterat Road Runner Sports.  This is a chain across theUSthat is known for their wide selection of products and stellar customer service.  The company is growing like you would not believe and new stores are planned to open in 2012.  In addition they stock a good amount of Timex products, including several Run Trainers,Marathon, and Ironman Triathlon models.

Will, Erin, and I set up for their Wednesday night run from the shop at 5:30.  We met 6 runners and even though the turnout was relatively small, it was probably one of the most successful clinics I’ve seen since each runners not only tried out a Timex product, but they were all eager to learn more about how they work, the ease of use, and how it can best suit their needs.   One woman actually never trains with a watch or even wears one.  She uses her iPhone to track her distance and carrys it in her hand the whole time.  I put a Marathon watch on her wrist and after taking a little getting used to, she eneded up liking it and might buy one in the future.

We all put on our sales “hats” and talked to each person about how it the watches will work for them.  We demoed a Global Trainer, Run Trainer,Marathon, and all were a hit!  Sam Trevino, the events coordinator at the shop repeatedly thanked us for our time to help customers understand Timex products a little better and quite frankly to bring business to the store. 

It was a success and I was glad to be a part of another successful consumer clinic to support a retailer for Timex!
