Timex Athletes at Ironman Lake Placid, Race Footage

Posted in Racing by

July 22, 2012 marked the 14th annual Ironman Lake Placid. Nearly 2600 athletes participated in the event. More than 900 participants were racing their first ever Ironman triathlon.   Ironman Lake Placid is the second oldest Ironman triathlon in North America, second only to Ironman Canada. This year’s race winners were American Andy Potts and first year professional triathlete, American Jessie Donavon.

Three Timex professional triathletes participated, 2x Ironman Champion, Dave Harju, first year professional, Kelly Fillnow and Marie Danais.  Kelly finished 5th professional woman overall, Marie finished 7th professional woman overall.   Dave made it through the first 13 miles of the run before pulling out.

Below is exclusive race day footage featuring all three.
