For those Canucks looking for the watch, it is going to be sold at the Ironman Canada expo.  Timex Canada will be selling the new GPS watch at their booth.

The Great White North triathlon occurred on July 4, 2010.  This is a gem of a race that occurs just outside of Edmonton Alberta in the small town of Stony Plain.  Close to 1,000 racers braved the 2km swim, 90km bike and 21km run.  This also marked this race’s 20^th year. 

This year was the 6^th year that I’ve raced Great White North and I hope to continue to do this race for years to come.  It was a special race for me this year as I was lucky enough to take my 4^th victory at this race.  Also, my fiancé Kelly finished 4^th overall in the women’s race and qualified for Ironman Canada in August.

It was a great day of racing in British Columbia’s Okanagan valley for the 7th annual Oliver Half Ironman.  An overcast sky, cool temperatures, a flat swim, little wind and great competition led to some fast times.  I was really impressed by the men’s winner Paul Tichelaar (2008 Olympian) who crushed the course record. 

Both Janelle and I represented Timex with 4th place finishes.  I’ve already finished my wine.
